Entrance lodge to cemetery. c1840. By James Bunning. Yellow brick with low pitched, hipped slate roof with modillion eaves cornice. Situated to right of entrance gates. Neo-classical style with front on return from road. 1 storey and basement, 3 bays. Paired brick pilasters at angles and abutting on stone prostyle porch with square columns, frieze (which continues around building), dentil cornice and pediment with acroterion. Sash windows with glazing bars and stone sill band. Stone coped plinth. Central chimney stack with paired, angle pilasters, brick cornice and stone pediment. INTERIOR: not inspected. Built as a pair with East Lodge (qv), to left of gates.
