Description

South Lodge to Decker Hill is an entrance lodge built around 1810. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a slate roof. The building is designed in a minimal Neo-Classical style and has one storey. Key architectural elements include a plinth, a frieze, and open triangular pedimented gable ends, with a stack located at the rear, off-centre to the right. The lodge has four bays with glazing bar sashes, some of which are fitted with louvred shutters. The second bay from the right projects and has an open triangular pedimented gable end, along with a 20th-century boarded door.
