Description

Coppice Green House is a house dating from the late 16th century, with a large addition from the late 18th century. It features a timber frame with square framing and rendered infill panels, alongside a substantial red brick addition with stone dressings, which is painted at the rear. The house has old tile roofs and is arranged in an L-plan, with one framed bay to the left at the rear.

The building stands three storeys high, with one storey to the left and two storeys to the rear. The front has a plinth, a floor cill band, a fluted second floor cill band, a stone dentil eaves cornice, parapeted gable ends, and end stacks. It consists of three bays with 20th-century metal casements set in 18th-century openings that have gauged heads. The central door features six raised and fielded panels and is framed by a doorcase with panelled pilasters, a panel above the door, and curved brackets supporting a triangular pediment with a dentil cornice.

To the left, there is a one-storey block made of red brick with an old tile roof, a parapeted gable end, an end stack, and a tripartite glazing bar sash at the front, which has a segmental relieving arch and a recessed painted tympanum. Inside, there is a heavily secured front door with iron bands.
