Description

Numbers 1 and 3 are two attached houses that date back to 1780, with alterations made around 1820 to 1830. They are built of yellow brick with a stuccoed frontage on the right side and feature a parapet. The buildings rise three storeys above a basement and have six bays, with five windows on the ground floor. There is a two-storey and basement extension of one bay on the right side. On the left, there is a projecting bow with tripartite windows from the 1820s, which is now part of No. 3, where the entrance is located at the basement level. The door to No. 3 is in the third bay from the right and is flanked by Ionic columns and an entablature that includes a modillion cornice and a pediment, along with a decorative oblong fanlight. The sash windows have plain reveals, and the ground floor left of the door features a tripartite window. There are flat bands at the parapet and between the floors. The return to the street has one window on each floor. The interior has not been inspected. The buildings also have cast-iron railings at the basement windows.
