Description
This is a pair of early 19th-century houses located at 126-132 Kennington Park Road. The properties are three storeys high, with an attic and basement, and originally each had two windows. Numbers 126 and 128 have gable ends featuring a split lunette, while the others have slated mansard roofs with dormers. The exterior is constructed of stock brick with a stone-coped parapet, with a cornice and blocking course incorporated into the linking sections. Number 132's link has been raised to full height and is constructed of mismatched brick.
The ground floor features an arcaded design, marked by an impost band. The basement has incised stucco, and the outer arcade piers are particularly noticeable at numbers 130 and 132. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, although the windows in Number 128 are modern casements. There are eight steps leading to six-panel doors, which have reeded heads and fanlights – the fanlight at Number 126 is radial in design. The door surrounds alternate, featuring vermiculate rustication and a triple keystone. The properties are listed for their group value, despite having undergone alterations.
