Description
136A Kennington Park Road is a half of an early 19th-century pair, with its partner having been destroyed. The building stands three storeys tall, with an attic and basement, featuring two windows and a two-storey entrance bay with a basement. It is constructed of stock brick, with a stuccoed basement and an arcaded ground floor that includes an impost band. The stone-coped parapet and slated mansard roof are adorned with dormers. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat brick arches, and the ground floor is protected by patterned cast iron guards. Access is provided by eight steps leading up to a six-panel door that features a reeded head and fanlight, set within an alternating block surround that has vermiculate rustication and a triple keystone.
