Description

This early to mid-19th century property, possibly incorporating an earlier structure, is located on Kennington Road. It is a two-storey building with an attic and basement, displaying five windows. The building has tall proportions and is constructed of stock brick with a stone-coped parapet. A mansard roof, slated and with three flat dormers featuring cornices, tops the structure. The sash windows have glazing bars and are set beneath near-flat stuccoed arches, moulded to resemble five voussoirs. A six-panel door, topped with a cornice head and a plain fanlight, is set within a narrow, moulded architrave featuring a key block. The doorcase is characterized by panelled pilasters, fluted brackets, and an open pediment with dentils and modillions. Three steps lead up to the door.
