Description
No 356 Kennington Road is an early 19th-century house that stands three storeys high, with an attic and basement. It features three windows and is constructed from stock brick, adorned with a stucco frieze, cornice, and a blocking course that has a later brick coping. The roof is a slated mansard style, punctuated by round arched dormers. The windows have gauged brick arches, which are round on the ground floor. The first and ground floors are arcaded, with the ground floor displaying an impost string. The ground floor windows are sashes with radial glazing, while the first floor has long casements leading to cast iron balconies, and plain sashes are positioned above. Access to the house is via twelve steps, which are flanked by original walls and railings, leading to a six-panel door that features feathered capitals on attached fluted columns, a plain head, and a fanlight.
