Description
Nos 350 and 352 on Kennington Road are an early 19th-century pair of handsome buildings, each standing three storeys high with an attic and basement. They feature three windows and a slightly projecting one-storey entrance link, with the entrance of No 352 built up later on a recessed plane. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and have a stucco entablature and blocking course. They are topped with a slated mansard roof that includes round-arched dormers. The windows have gauged brick arches and are fitted with sashes that have glazing bars; the ground floor windows are round-headed with radial glazing, while the first floor features long casements that lead to a full-width ornamental cast iron balcony. The ground and first floors are arcaded, with the first floor adorned with paterae in the tympana and rams' heads on the imposts. The ground floor includes keystone masks and a guilloche moulded impost band. The doors are six-panel designs, flanked by paired engaged fluted columns with feathering capitals. Notably, No 350 has a patterned radial fanlight, and both buildings are accessed by tall flights of steps.
