Description
No. 193 Kennington Road is an early to mid-19th century building that stands three storeys tall, with an attic and a sunk basement. It features two windows and is constructed of stock brick with a parapet front. The roof is a slated mansard style, complete with dormers. The building has grauged flat brick arches above the sash windows, as well as above the long first-floor casements, which include transoms and margin lights that open onto a balcony. The entrance door consists of four fielded panels and two beaded panels, topped with a needed head and an oblong fanlight. The doorcase is adorned with panelled pilasters, a reeded frieze featuring a central medallion, and a dentilled cornice supported by console brackets.
