118 AND 120, KENNINGTON ROAD SE11

Nos 118 and 120 Kennington Road, dating from the 18th century, are a pair of buildings that have undergone some alterations. They rise three storeys, include an attic and a sunk basement. No 118 features three windows, although the left ones are blocked. The façade is stuccoed and has a modillion cornice and a parapet. The roof is a slated gambrel style with one dormer on each side. It has sash windows and a 19th-century canted bay window on the ground floor. The entrance is a six-panel door with the top glazed, set in a moulded architrave and topped with an enriched hood supported by brackets.

No 120 is distinguished by a two-storey wooden oriel canted bay that extends through the first and second floors, featuring a balustraded wooden parapet and sash windows within moulded wooden architraves. Its entrance also has a six-panel door with the top glazed, framed by a narrow moulded architrave and topped with a bracketed cornice hood.
