127 AND 129, KENNINGTON ROAD SE11

127 and 129 Kennington Road are a pair of late 18th century buildings, originally designed as three-storey structures with basements and three windows each. Number 127 features an added two-storey bay on the left, while number 129 has a one-storey bay on the right. Both buildings are constructed of stock brick and have stone-coped parapets. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat brick arches. Number 129 boasts a full-width patterned cast iron balcony on the first floor and an added slated mansard roof with an elliptical-headed dormer. Each building has six-panel doors, with steps leading to door terraces that are equipped with wrought iron handrails and guard rails. Number 127 has a cornice head and a fanlight within a simple stucco door surround, while number 129 features a similar door treatment set in a recess.
