Description

No. 36 on Clapham Common South Side is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall with a basement and features two windows, with the right bay slightly set back. The structure is made of stock brick and has a stone-coped parapet. The sash windows, which have vertical bars except for the modern casements on the second floor, are set beneath ganged flat brick arches, with those in the main left bay located in segment-arched recesses. Access to the building is via three steps leading to a half-glazed door that has a reeded head and a patterned fanlight above it. The property is also enclosed by wrought iron area railings.
