Description
The former orangery portico to the north of Comins House dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a hexastyle Ionic portico in antis, with four steps leading up to the stylobate, which is flanked by side walls. The pediment displays a draped cartouche surrounded by swags of fruit and flowers in high relief. An inscription in the frieze reads: "HIC VER ASSIDUUM ATQUE ALIENIS MENSIBUS AESTAS."
