Description
34 and 34A, Clapham Common South Side, are a pair of symmetrical houses dating from the early 19th century and now used as two separate dwellings. The house is three storeys high with an attic and basement, and has a three-window front. It is constructed of stock brick with a parapet and a slated mansard roof featuring dormers. A bay is set back on the left, while another projects on the right. A plaque above the right-hand doorway reads "SOUTH BUILDINGS 1812." The windows are sash windows with vertical bars, with the central window on each floor set within a segment-headed recess. Four steps, with wrought iron handrails, lead up to half-glazed doors set within reeded architraves and each with a plain fanlight.
