Description
No 83 Clapham Common West Side is a building dating from around 1796, with some alterations. It stands three storeys tall with a basement and features three windows across its façade. The exterior is constructed of grey brick, accented by stone bands between the floors, a stone cornice, and a blocking course. The central bay projects and includes tripartite windows. There is a rendered closed Doric porch above stone steps that sit between abutments. The garden elevation showcases a central three-window splayed bay and a raised ground floor verandah, which is adorned with an iron balustrade and a tented canopy. The interior retains some features from the same period. Additionally, there is a brick pedimented coach house on the south boundary, which has been altered and is connected to the main house.
