Description

This is a long, near-symmetrical terrace of late 18th or early 19th century houses, numbered 140 to 162 Kennington Park Road. The terrace is divided into a central section of three houses, each of four storeys and a basement, and outer sections of two houses, each of three storeys and a basement, with three windows each. The houses are built of stock brick with a stone-coped parapet. The windows are sash windows, some retaining glazing bars, and are set within gauges flat brick arches. The front doors consist of six fielded panels, set within banded rusticated reveals, and are topped with reeded architraves, a dentilled cornice, a pediment, and supported by console brackets. The doorways have patterned fanlights above them. Ornamental cast iron window guards are present on the first-floor windows of the long windows. Some of the door pediments are open.
