Description

This is a pair of late 18th or early 19th century houses located on Gipsy Road. They are two storeys high with a sunken basement, and each house originally had one window in a wide, pedimented main block and one in a slightly set-back side bay. Number 3 also features a further set-back bay to the left. The houses are constructed of pinkish stock brick with stucco dressings, including a frieze, cornice, blocking course, pediment cornice, and a first floor band. The basement is also stuccoed. An attic lunette runs along the party wall. Sash windows with glazing bars are present, set beneath finely-gauged brick arches. The front door of Number 3 is of two long panels, with a rectangular fanlight, set back behind a round-arched opening leading up four stone steps. Number 5 has a plain door with a rectangular fanlight.
