Description
West Norwood Congregational Church is a mid-19th century chapel designed in a classical style. The building is constructed of stucco with incised lines and features quoins, an entablature with a dentil cornice, and a pediment. It stands two storeys high and has three bays on the front facade. An oculus is located in the pediment. The chapel has sash windows with delicate glazing bars; the first-floor side windows have round heads, while the central window is segmental, and the ground floor windows are near-flat. All windows are framed with moulded architraves, and there is a dentil cornice above the first-floor side windows. The entrance is marked by a wide Ionic porch in antis, which projects slightly and has a balustrade above. There are one-storey, three-bay side wings that feature round-headed windows, with an entablature and blocking course above.
