Description
The forecourt wall, railings, gate piers, and gates at Elderwood date from the mid to late 19th century. The structure features a low brick wall topped with Portland stone coping, which supports thick iron railings adorned with a lattice and medallion frieze, as well as ball heads. In the center, there are two taller square iron piers with cornices and ball finials that support a matching gate. To the right, the railings curve towards two taller brick and stone piers with lampholders, which hold a crested matching double gate. Similar piers are located at the other end of the wall.
