Description

These are two houses at the end of a terrace, dating from the early 19th century. They are built of pinkish brick in English bond, with sandstone ashlar dressings, and have Welsh slate roofs. Each house has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, and features three windows. They have ashlar plinths, with stone steps leading to glazed and eight-panel doors set within stone pilaster-and-entablature doorcases, each with an overlight. The windows are sash windows, some with glazing bars, and are topped with wedge lintels. A full-width cast-and-wrought-iron balcony runs across the first floor. A stone eaves cornice is present. Number 25 has a 20th-century brick attic storey added, designed to match the original style. Number 26 has a 20th-century mansard roof over the two right-hand bays, which projects in the centre and includes a pivoted window. A tall chimney is located at the left end of Number 26.
