Description
The tomb of Reverend William Morley Punshon is located in West Norwood Memorial Park and dates from around 1881. It was carved by J. Rogerson of Liverpool and is designed in the High Victorian Gothic style. The tomb features a rectangular stepped plinth with a frieze that has inscribed religious texts in raised lettering. It is surrounded by a gabled arcading with five bays on each side, showcasing pointed arches supported by pink granite columns with foliated heads. At the center, there is a stone coffin topped with a hipped lid. The structure has a hipped and gabled roof with a moulded and enriched ridge. Reverend William Morley Punshon was a Wesleyan minister.
