Description

The West Norwood Memorial Park Mausoleum of Edith Harris is a mid-19th century mausoleum designed in a Neo-classical style, with the designer unknown. It is constructed from Portland stone and features a rectangular shape with a vermiculated plinth. The sides of the mausoleum are battered and stepped at the base. One end has an inscribed panel that fills the entrance, and above this is a lunette opening in the gable end of the pitched roof, which is adorned with antefixae. The structure also includes a high vermiculated plinth, an overhanging cornice, and ends that are shaped to suggest a pediment and acroteria, with an escutcheon located in the tympanum above the door.
