Description
The tomb of Dr. William Marsden is located in West Norwood Memorial Park and dates from around 1867, with the designer unknown. It is a pedestal monument made of Portland stone, featuring a simple column on a plinth, which is inscribed. The urn that once topped the column is now missing. The grave slab is rectangular and hipped. Dr. William Marsden is noted for founding the Royal Free Hospital and the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital, which contributes to the historical significance of this monument.
