Description

The West Norwood Memorial Park Mausoleum of Alfred and Elizabeth Longsdon was built around 1892-1893, with the designer unknown. This mausoleum features a square plan constructed from Portland stone ashlar. Above the entrance, the name "Alfred Longsdon" is inscribed and framed by an eared architrave. Each side of the mausoleum has a truncated pediment that includes three small round unglazed openings arranged in triangles. At the center, a large stone drum with lancet windows rises, topped by a tall dome that is surmounted by a cross.
