Description

The West Norwood Memorial Park features the tomb of Eleanor Everidge and her family, designed around 1868 by an unknown designer. This dresser-type monument is made of Portland stone and showcases a mixed Renaissance style. It has a shallow, inscribed base that breaks forward at angles, supporting an elliptical open central arch. This arch is flanked by Ionic colonettes and an entablature that continues around inscribed dies adorned with relief lilies and consoles. Above the arch, smaller dies are carved with cartouches and cherubim, topped by a segmental pediment that features a central cherubim above a cartouche, flanked by consoles.
