Description

The boundary wall and railings on the north side and in the north-west corner of West Norwood Memorial Park were built in 1836. The structure features a tall wall made of multicoloured stock brick, with a stone plinth and top copings, and flat buttresses. There are taller piers with battlemented stone tops at intervals along the wall, which extends from the east end of Robson Road to opposite No 7. To the west, similar piers support tall Gothic patterned cast iron railings on a low plinth. A spur runs south to connect with the main entrance arch. Simpler railings, likely of a later date, are found to the north and west of the entrance forecourt.
