Description
Bonneville Junior School is a London Board School built in 1905. It features a symmetrical design with a central block flanked by wider side bays that are two and three storeys high, respectively. The building is topped with a very tall gable that has a bell turret with an ogee copper roof. There are paired entrances located in the side bays, and the raised upper windows have top parapets that break the eaves. In the centre of the first floor, there is a wide Venetian window supported by Ionic columns. The lower two-storey section has three window links that connect to the projecting taller end wings. The school is constructed of stock brick, accented with red brick and stone dressings, including quoins, gauged window arches, and moulded and dentilled eaves cornices. The moderately high pitched roof is slated with swept eaves and features tall chimneys that are quoined and corniced.
