Description
375 and 377 Clapham Road is an early 19th century pair of houses, each with three storeys, an attic, and a basement. They feature two windows in the main block, with set back outer entrance bays. Number 375 is wider and has two storeys, while number 377 extends to full height. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and have a stucco mutulated cornice and blocking course, along with a stuccoed basement. Number 375 includes a first floor cill band. Both houses have hipped slated mansard roofs with dormers. The sash windows, some with glazing bars, are set in round-arched recesses on the ground floor and are topped with gauged flat brick arches. Access to the houses is via seven steps leading to four-panel doors that have a cornice head and rectangular fanlight. Number 375 features a quasi-Doric prostyle porch, while number 377 has an entablature surround.
