Description

Numbers 95 to 107 (odd) and the attached railings form an irregular terrace of linked houses, built around 1830. The houses are constructed of yellow brick laid in a Flemish bond, with stucco detailing and roofs of Welsh and artificial slate. The terrace is two storeys high with a basement level and generally has three windows per house, although numbers 101 to 105 have two, and number 107 has five. Numbers 95 to 9 have a slightly recessed two-storey entrance bay, while numbers 101 to 105 have a recessed single-storey entrance bay.

Steps lead up to the entrances. Numbers 95 to 97 have railings flanking the steps, featuring quarter columns with squared decorative elements where capitals would usually be, a cornice decorated with a palmette pattern, and a round-arched fanlight with decorative glazing. Number 99 has quarter columns, a cornice, a round-arched fanlight with decorative glazing, and a panelled front door. Number 101 has a cornice and fanlight with decorative glazing. Number 103 has been largely renewed with a modified round-arched fanlight. Number 105 features pilasters, a cornice, and a tall, blank, round-arched fanlight. Number 107 has railings to the steps with Doric columns, a cornice, a segmental-arched fanlight with decorative glazing, and a panelled front door.

Ground-floor windows are round-arched with brick detailing, except for numbers 99 to 101, which have flat-arched windows also with brick detailing. All ground-floor windows are set within recessed round-arched panels. A stucco sill band runs along the first floor. First-floor windows are flat-arched with brick detailing, and the central window of number 107 is blank. The roofs are hipped with projecting party walls and chimneys, except for number 107, which has end stacks.
