Description

The Rydon Arms Public House is an early to mid-19th century building. It is a three-storey structure with four windows and a rounded corner facing the two-window front on New North Road. The building is constructed of stock brick with a stucco frieze, cornice, and blocking course. Sash windows with glazing bars retain moulded architraves, though some have been blocked. Pilasters with quasi-Composite capitals support the fascia and cornice on the ground floor. Panelled stallrisers are located below the windows, and these now have modern glazing. The building is included on the register for group value, forming a group with numbers 1 to 45 (odd).
