Description

Numbers 1-15 (odd) and their attached railings are a row of early 19th-century terraced houses. They are constructed of yellow brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco detailing, and a parapet concealing the roof. The properties are arranged over a basement and three storeys, with two windows visible on each level. Numbers 7, 9, and 11 are set back by the width of one brick.

The basement and ground floor are stuccoed, with the ground floor exhibiting banded rustication. Steps lead to segmental-arched entrances featuring pilaster jambs, reeded with rosette stops on those of numbers 3, 5, 7 and 9 (though the stop is missing from number 9). Fanlights above the doors have decorative glazing on number 13, and the doors themselves are of original design. The ground-floor windows are segmental-arched, while the upper-floor windows are flat-arched, all featuring recessed 6/6 sash windows.

The first-floor windows are designed with piano nobile proportions and have iron balconies, except for number 1. Numbers 1-11 have cornices supported by consoles, while numbers 13 and 15 have moulded architraves above their windows. The second-floor windows of numbers 1-11 have gauged brick heads, and numbers 13 and 15 have moulded architraves. Only numbers 1 and 3 include cornices. The parapet and surrounding area have undergone extensive rebuilding. Number 1 has two round-arched windows at ground level, alongside a side entrance with fluted quarter-columns, a cornice, and an overlight. The area railings are embellished with spearhead and some urn finials.
