Description

Peabody House is a house built in 1865 by Henry Darbishire. It is constructed of stock brick with grey brick bands, featuring a slate roof and brick stacks. The building has an irregular trapezoid plan, with two bays facing the street and three canted bays on the side, which includes a door and irregular glazing. The front is three stories high and has 2/2 sash windows on the right and above the carriage entrance that leads to workshops. The windows have segmental and pointed arched heads. Above the carriage entrance on the left, there is a moulded cornice that reads 'Peabody Yard.' This house is part of a model development by the Peabody Trust.
