Description

Nos 867 and 869 on High Road N17 are early 18th-century buildings that have undergone some alterations. They stand three storeys tall with a basement plinth and each features five windows. The roofs are high-pitched, with No 867's roof covered in renewed corrugated asbestos and No 869's roof covered in Welsh slate. The buildings are constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings, which include bands at the first and second floors and at the cornice level, as well as segmental window arches. The stone-coped parapet has been partly renewed in stock brick. The windows are early to mid-19th-century sash windows, some of which have glazing bars. The doors date from the early 19th century; No 867 has a door with a patterned fanlight, reeded pilasters featuring lion masks, and a hood on carved corbels, while No 869 has a door with a plain rectangular fanlight.
