Description

Nos 66 and 68 on Bute Street were built in the 1870s and are constructed of red brick with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys and feature a plain brick parapet. On the second floor, there are three windows with gauged brick heads, including two sashes with glazing bars and one modern casement. The first floor has four windows, with two of each type. The shop fronts date from the 19th century. No 68 has a separate door and window, accompanied by a rendered stall riser, slender pilasters, and a cornice. No 66 features a more prominent four-bay ground floor with a continuous entablature and cornice, two doorways to the left, a central bay with a small arched window, and a right-hand window bay, all separated by simple pilasters.
