Description
The George II Public House, located at No 70 Bute Street, was built around the 1870s. It features a red brick exterior and a Welsh slate roof that is set behind a plain parapet. The building stands three storeys tall. On the second floor, there are two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars and red brick gauged heads. The first floor has two similar but slightly larger windows that still have their original wooden blind valences. The ground floor is designed in a heavy late Victorian style, featuring a continuous cornice supported by four consoles, which rest on four Doric pilasters. Please note that the windows and doorways have been recently modified.
