Description

No. 47 Guildford Street is a building dating from around the 1860s. It is constructed of Luton grey bricks with stucco dressings and has a Welsh slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and features three bays facing Guildford Street, with a symmetrical elevation and stuccoed quoins. There is an additional bay on the right side and a curved corner, as well as two bays on Barber's Lane. A continuous stucco band runs along the first floor. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and all have stuccoed quoins and gauged heads, except for the second bay from the left on Guildford Street, which has arched heads and plain stucco surrounds on the first and second floors. The extreme right-hand bay also has plain surrounds. The front door on Guildford Street, located in the second bay from the left, features a plain surround.
