Description
32 George Street is a late 19th-century office building featuring a stucco exterior and a Welsh slate roof. The building has three window bays facing George Street and seven bays along Cheapside, with a rounded corner between the two facades. It stands three storeys tall and is topped with a heavy moulded modillion cornice. The second floor has double-hung sash windows that are deep set within architrave surrounds. The first floor windows are much taller, fitted with modern frames that are also deep set within similar surrounds, featuring cornice heads supported by two side brackets. A continuous cill band is visible across five bays on Cheapside. Both the first and second floors have stucco quoins at each end of the building on both elevations, while the ground floor has modern shopfronts.
