Description
1 George Street West is a mid-19th century building constructed from Luton grey bricks, featuring red brick quoins and window surrounds, topped with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with a three-bay facade, where the central bay projects slightly forward. On the first floor, there are three sash windows, two of which have glazing bars, and a storey band runs along the facade. The ground floor has two windows flanking a central front door that is recessed under a round-headed arch. The double door consists of six panels and is topped with a semi-circular fanlight that has geometric tracery. The building also includes a basement.
