Description
Nos. 80 and 82 High Street are mid-18th century buildings that have been refronted at a later date. They stand three storeys tall and feature five windows. The construction is of brick, with stone lintels and a coping to the parapet. The roof is covered with pantiles and has two brick chimneys. The buildings have plate glass sash windows set in flush moulded frames, with smaller windows on the second floor. The central entrance is highlighted by a pilastered and pedimented doorpiece, featuring fluted pilasters and a frieze, topped with an enriched 'Adam style' pediment.
At the rear of No. 82, there are large three-storey extensions with two windows, which are contemporary with No. 80. Additionally, there is a further three-storey section with one window, along with a two-storey stable block that has five bays, all served by a cobbled yard and passage, dating from the mid-19th century. The rear of No. 80 features a partly catslide roof.
