Description

Two early 19th century buildings stand at 797 and 799 High Road, N17. Each is three storeys high and originally had two windows. Number 797 may incorporate an older building core. It is built of red brick with a stone-coped parapet. The sash windows have gauged flat brick arches above them; those on the second floor have glazing bars. A modern shop occupies the ground floor. Number 799 is taller and constructed of stock brick with a stuccoed frieze, cornice, and blocking course. It also has gauged flat brick arches above its sash windows, with glazing bars on the second floor. The first-floor windows are set within round-arched recesses. A modern shop occupies the ground floor of this building.
