Description

This is a mid-18th century house originally of three storeys and four windows, with a two-storey, one-window bay to the right. The exterior is yellow brick with red brick dressings. The sash windows have been replaced with windows containing glazing bars, set within exposed frames. A projecting late 19th century shop front is present on the right side, and a modern shop front on the left. The front door consists of eight fielded panels, set within a rusticated surround, topped by a cornice, impost string, and a mask on the keystone. Above the door is an Ionic doorcase featuring a pulvinated frieze, a modillioned cornice, and a pediment. Numbers 816 to 822 (even) form a cohesive group.
