Description

This is an 18th-century house of three storeys and five windows. The front is constructed of red brick with alternating grey headers. A stringcourse runs above the second floor, with a corresponding one above the first floor having been removed. The windows are sash windows set in reveals and are topped by segmental arches with brick and rubbed brick voussoirs; all the glazing bars remain intact. A blocked window on the second floor retains its original glazing bars, which are now painted. The front door is a six-panel moulded door, topped by a semi-circular fanlight with ogee-shaped tracery. The doorcase features engaged Doric columns, triglyphs, and a rectangular pediment with modillions. The building has an eaves bracket cornice. It forms a group with numbers 1, 3, 7 and 9.
