Description

The buildings at 2 and 3 North Pallant date to the early 18th century, although there may be an earlier core. The front elevation is of a similar height to number 1A, featuring a steeply pitched tiled roof and a timber-framed construction visible in the northern gable end, with a small stack to the north of the centre. A cornice with modillions sits below the eaves, and a stringcourse runs above the ground floor. The building is constructed of painted brick, with four windows in total and one blocked opening in the centre of the first floor. The sash windows have flush boxes and flat arches; the upper floor windows have thick glazing bars, although glazing bars are missing from the lower parts of the windows at the north end. Recessed doors are set within frames with entablatures above. The doors are six-panelled, with the top four panels of the door at number 3 cut away and glazed. Numbers 1 to 7 (consecutive) and number 9 form a group.
