Description
This is an early 18th-century pair of buildings, located on the east side of High Road in Tottenham. They are each three storeys and have a basement, with three windows to the front, and two-storey, one-window side extensions. The buildings present a handsome "Queen Anne" facade. They have half-hipped tiled roofs. The front is of brown brick with red brick dressings, and a stone coped parapet; some of the brickwork has been replaced. Gauged segmental brick arches with triple keystones frame the 19th-century sash windows, some of which have glazing bars. A brick moulded and dentilled parapet cornice runs along the top. A central chimney features red brick quoins with deeply rebated angles. Number 808 has a flush door with a patterned radial fanlight, and a cornice hood supported by brackets over narrow panelled pilasters. Number 810 has a door of six fielded panels with a plain rectangular fanlight under a similar hood. A small, modern shop projects in front of the buildings.
