Description
These are two early 19th-century buildings, numbers 7 and 9 Clayport Street. They are two storeys high and feature a 3+3 window arrangement. The buildings are constructed of ashlar with a cill string to the first floor and a moulded eaves cornice. They have a slate roof with raised verges and a kneeler on the left side, along with three brick chimneys. The windows are modern casements. Number 7 has a mid-19th century shop front, consisting of a doorway flanked by shallow bow windows. Number 9 has a large segmental archway on the left, providing access to Chapel Lane, and a modern, slightly projecting shop window on the right. Within the throughpassage, a flush panel door leads to number 7, complete with a segmental fanlight above.
