Description
No. 3 Fenkle Street is a building from the 18th century or early 19th century, featuring three storeys and four windows. It is constructed of ashlar stone and has cill courses on the first and second floors. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with slate, complete with coped verges and kneelers, and there are two rendered shared chimneys. The second floor has late glazed sash windows, while the first floor features plate glass sash windows.
The building boasts an ornate early 20th-century shop front, which includes a shop window and door to the left, followed by a large bay shop window with a recessed central entrance. The shop front is adorned with five fluted pilasters supporting a fascia that has decorated end pieces and a continuous dentil cornice above both sections. A lead rainwater pipe head, marked with the date 182? (the last digit is unclear), is also present. At the rear, there is a large three-storey gabled extension.
