Description
The Corner Cafe, located on Lisburn Street, is an early to mid-18th century building. It stands three storeys tall, featuring three windows on the first floor and two on the second. The exterior is finished with pebbledash rendering and rustic quoins, although there are no quoins on the ground floor. The building has a slate roof with three chimneys and late glazed casement windows that have moulded architraves.
The late 19th to early 20th century shop front has three lights and a door on the left, complete with a modillion cornice above the fascia and two panelled pilasters. There is a similar shop front on the north side facing Market Street, located on the wide gable end, with an entrance to the house to the left of this. Additionally, there are two windows and a rear entrance on Fenkle Street. The Corner Cafe also includes No 2 Fenkle Street as part of its listing.
