Description
Nos 3 and 4 Lothbury, located in EC2, were built in 1906 by Mountford and Gruning. This classical stone-faced building features four main storeys and an attic, with a front that has five major bays and curved corners at either end. The base is banded and includes round-headed windows set within deep splayed reveals on the first, second, and third floors. The main elevation and returns are united by attached unfluted Ionic columns. Above, there is a plain frieze and a bracketed cornice. The attic storey on Lothbury is flanked by two-storey pavilions that have segmental pediments.
