Description

Numbers 15, 17, and 19 are three terraced houses built around 1835-1839 by William Cubitt. They feature channelled stucco with rusticated stucco ground floors and plain stucco sill bands on the first floor. The buildings rise three storeys and have basements, with one window each. They have prostyle, pedimented stucco porticoes topped with palmette acroterions. The doorways are square-headed with panelled jambs, cornice-heads, fanlights, and panelled doors. The windows are recessed, tripartite sashes, with architraves on the first and second floors. The first floor windows have console-bracketed narrow pediments and cast-iron balconies. A bracketed cornice and blocking course complete the design. The interiors have not been inspected. The houses are complemented by attached cast-iron railings with thistle finials in front of the areas.
